Awesome Tape Emulator DAW

Awesome Tape Emulator DAW Tube. Duration : 0.60 Mins.

For this you will need an audio cable that can fit todays standard jack to yesteryears larger "guitar" jack. A cassette tape, and an audio editor. A 3 head cassette recorder has even better results. I have not tried using any A/D converter cables either. Basically you route the Track to the Cassette Recorder thru the Mic or Line In, then you route back to your PC thru the Headphones of the Cassette Recorder to your PC. Be careful when lowering the Octaves as this can make the Bass frequency so low that the Cassette recorder cannot respond to it, leaving pops and crackles when sped back up. And no I don't really believe this will make a POS Cassette Recorder be as good as a Studer or Revox, but with a good Cassette Recorder like a Technics or a Tascam this can get a much more worthy sound. Also, try using this method with a VHS tape and a VCR for an even more reel to reel sound.
