MPC 2500SE - Surfing (Instrumental)

MPC 2500SE - Surfing (Instrumental) Tube. Duration : 2.45 Mins.

*Please listen in high quality (720p), it's probably because it's a bad recording, but this sounds really weird in low quality (it may still sound weird in high quality, but not as bad! haha! :D). But seriously, there's some weird audio clipping in the bass, even at 720p, which isn't there on the uploaded file/movie/audio track. This beat is an original creation, no samples used (except for drums of course). No quantize used except for some of the kicks and snares. It's pretty much a "live recording". Everything recorded with the MPC. Well, what can i really say about this one... I felt like making something from scratch, so i grabbed the MPC and started off with the beat. I then added a bassline with the MicroKorg, followed by some rather rusty guitar and ukulele lickz (haven't touched my instruments in half a year and i'm out of practice big time). The hard part about recording stuff instead of using samples is to make it sound professional, i was never good at this, and still don't get it right with the sound and mix... but it's a lot of fun nevertheless. :-) I'm not sure if i really like it, i didn't even want to use it first, but here it is anyway... It's been a while since i've made something without samples and i've never been really good with original recordings anyway (i enjoy it a lot, but at the end of the day i'm still just a beginner with my instruments). Brutal honesty is welcome, haha, if you think it's crap... feel free to say so (and also if you happen to ...
